Our Design Role

We provide complete design, engineering and consultation services for building design, interiors, landscape-hardscape-pool design, specialty lighting and audio-video systems.

We utilize the resources of several of Dallas' best architects & designers. For certain select homes, Steve Morey may personally design the home. Our collective talent pool is responsible for many of the finest examples of residential design in our area. In all cases, the appropriate professional is selected by determining the best "fit" for our client's needs after an extensive program interview.

Our design role may take one of two forms:

1- Designer-Builder. Both design & construction phases are combined for an integrated, turnkey solution. This unified approach allows for the most creative solutions by knowing what is most attainable within a predetermined budget structure. This is the most common way we work with our clients.

2- Design Consultants. In instances where our clients have previously engaged their own architect, we contract to build the project and consult with the owner & their architect during the design process.

The Process

This is the stage that everyone finds so exciting! The dialogue between owner & designer and seeing the dreams develop on paper is a special experience. Little do they know, that when we reach the construction phase, it is equally exciting watching the paper dream become a reality!

After matching the appropriate designer with our client we will schedule an initial meeting to discuss the scope of the project. This will include the "look & feel" of the home as well as the size, budget and client's priorities. We then prepare a series of drawings that progress through the various stages from loose conceptual sketches to final working drawings. The client will be very involved in the early stages of design and will be kept abreast of all design & cost issues.

Because we are builders, we are well equipped to advise on construction costs during the design. This actually augments the design work, allowing us to produce the highest level of creativity possible without cost surprises when the plans are completed.

We receive two common responses from our customers after the design work is completed. First, that the finished design far exceeded what they were expecting. Second, that the design process itself was such a truly pleasurable experience.

These responses are immensely satisfying to us. We make it a high priority to insure that our work will always foster these feelings.
